Hey all,

I've been doing some research, if I get a new exhaust or slip-on mufflers, do I need to have a new intake and Tune?

 

With just reasonable slip-ons you won't have to do anything. But you may well be happier in the long run to just get it over with. Check out what Jamie has at http://www.fuelmotousa.com/

If you change the exhaust plumbing in front of the mufflers in any way you will need to adjust your fueling whatever else you may do.

 

You will wake up your bikes performance with a simple change of exhaust system, replacing your air filter and adding a fuel management system. I agree with glens, call Jamie at fuelmoto. Great guy and very knowledgeable.

 

All I am looking for is sound. Will Vance & Hines slip ons be as loud? If I got the full exhaust system (just becaus i like the looks of the shotshots better) do i have to purchase a tuner or is there someone i can take it to to get tuned?
I will end up getting a SE intake very soon.

I agree, just put on my new slipons two weeks ago from Fuelmoto. I got the Rush mufflers with Fuelmotos designed bafflels, 1.75 reflected left and the 2.00 on the right. It simulates a 2 in 1 system. They have many hours testing the 07 and 08 with the oem headpipes.This setup really rocks! I was running AN bigsucker ac and a fuelpack with Screaming Eagle mufflers.I highly-highly recommend Fuelmoto!!!!
