Default Woods belt driven cams?

Read an artilcle on these night prowler belt driven cams by Bob Woods in American Iron mag a while back. The auther, whose name I forget, but he's supposed to be a Harley engine Guru, claims that it is a great idea, he uses them, and gets a real signoifigant performance increase out of them. Expensive, but from what I've heard, woods makes quality stuff. Anyone have these, any info, input?

Don't see the point, other than to have something different.

No chain stretch, no tensioners, no runout worries for gear drive, quiet, virtually maintenance free.... But really not worth the cost for my application.

What would be the life expectancy of that belt?

Not sure, although service life on a car engine with a belt is 100,000 miles. I realize this is not a car, but I would expect something similar especially for the $$

cool chopper or show bike stuff, but pretty scary for regular street use,any performance increase would be so little,it wouldnt be able to be detected(on a dyno or seat of the pants)

Donny Petersen.
He approches the Harley as ,Back in the Day, Smokey Yunick did any thing with a engine. With a curious mind

One thing that sets this apart and makeds it useful is the adjustable cam timing device.
But Hemrick Performance has something for this that looks good.

Cam belts on Ducati's are usually replaced every two years. Gets expensive.

True. Things get real ugly when one of those belts let go, and they have been known to do so. I wouldn't put that in my bike even if ya' paid me.
