About 2 months ago I bought and installed the Rinehart system on my Road King. I dropped off my bike yesterday at the dealer and they asked how I liked it it (and I do!). They told me that they are going to discontinue selling them as they have had a few come back with cracks in the rear cylinder header pipe. The service writer also told me that he had heard Bub is re-engineering the rear header pipe so it doesn't occur any longer. It seems that the pipes have been cracking or "burning through" where the mounting tab is welded to the rear header.

Any one have any info?

 

Been hearing this for about the past year. Don't know how they are about making the defect good.
