Default Air Filter Element replacement question

I am new to Harley world and recently bought a 2006 Road King Classic. The last owner said it had a Stage 1 upgrade. The bike came with Screaming Eagle Mufflers. I want to replace the air filter element because it is starting to fall apart (the rubber). Can I upgrade to a K&N or do I need to stay with the HD filter.

Or the Zippers Mo Flo which may be made by K&N.

If the depth of your filter is ~2-1/8", it's K&N part# HD0800. You can save some money, get it thru an ebay vendor that offers free shipping. I just replaced my SE paper filter with a K&N, got it from ebay in 3 days. The K&N's come pre-oiled and ready to install.

We use the Zippers units(and stock them) along with our Ful-Flo, 3.5" filter made exclusively for use by Green Filter, Brodock, PA.
I will say it is the largest on the market, to fit under the OEM football cover.

Quite a few owner's of the HD, SE air filter change the cheap, flimsy, HD paper element to the K&N element, mostly because of stories and pictures of the HD element falling apart.
HD used a K&N element several years ago with their SE air filters, but switched to the cheap shitty paper element to save a few bucks.
I got my K&N at Auto Zone. They had to order it, but it was in the next day. It showed on their computer, what the K&N HD0800 fits. I paid $42 almost 5 years ago.
