A friend of mine was having an oil leak from his solenoid. He had replaced the solenoid when rebuilding the engine. The solenoid was made in China...should have been a hint there. When the solenoid was taken apart it was discovered the the cylinder inside was not long enough to push against the gasket to seal properly and hence the leaking oil. He then bought a HD solenoid made in Mexico and when installed worked properly and had no oil leak. This is second hand info from him to me so I hope I got the story correct. Anyone have that problem?
