I ran into this problem. The sensors on the 09 are at the top of the head pipes. The 2010 and later? sensors are right before the cat. Does this hold true? Tried to put an 2010 system on a 2009 and sensors obviously didn't line up. DUH should have checked. I just thought since the pipes were identical the 02 sensors would be in the same position. That's what I get for thinkin!

 

Yeah in 2010 they moved the o2 location. I think they are a different size thread as well?

yes 12mm vs 18mm and the 12mm (later models 10-12) have heated sensors the 09's were heated by the exhaust that is why they are near the ports. a welder can weld in new 18mm bungs and you can plug the 12mm easy enough

 

hopefully not stock '10 pipes as they have the cat in the header pipe the '09 does not. at least the touring bikes do, unsure about the others.
