Question on V&H Big Radius Exhaust Part Quality
I just started installing my Vance and Hines Big Radius Exhaust on my 2007 Fat Boy w/ PCIII. so I am installing the 2006 and earlier Big Radius Version.
The header pipes (the main pipes). What is everyone who purchased exhast from V&H found with the quality of the finish? I know they will be hidden under the Heat Shields but mine arrived with deep tool mark gouges in each one. (see picture). the shorter rear pipe (shown in the pictures) is worse then the front cyclinder.
It has the tool marks all the way around in a band about 2" wide. They were very deep and sharp edges. V&H says thats normal for them and all their pipes are like this. that since it is covered they dont care about the looks or the quality of the header pipes finish.

RE: Question on V&H Big Radius Exhaust Part Quality
Had to do a search but I found a posting where you explained the cracked mounting brackets on V&H Short Shots. I wish I read that posting earlier. I was looking at V&H and Hooker for the two pipes. It would have made my decision easier ...
