Best Carb For a 95 C.I. Upgrade?
#11
The stock CV with a sportster needle and a 46 or 48 pilot will work as well as anything out there..Don't drill out the hole in the slide or put in the dynojet kit. The Mikuini is a great carb and has better throttle response, but at the end of the day, the CV will make a little more power, will get better mileage and will compensate for altitude automatically.

I'd say the Mik 45 is too much carb for your build, you'll end up with a less efficient low/middle and gain a small amount up top because the engine can't create the velocity needed in a big carb like the 45. I run a Mik 42 and think it's great and has good response, however an intelligently reworked CV44 will do the same job (maybe not quite such good response) and save you cash.

Did you not realize that this is almost 6 years old. I would think that he found his carb if he even has the same bike anymore.
