Default 80" Evo Motor Rebuilding Info

I'd like to get an idea on how much it will cost me to rebuild a 1994 80" Evo motor. I'm looking at purchasing a 1994 Road King with a busted motor, nothing serious but it needs to get rebuilt.

Option A: is rebuild the Evo to its original 80" size...

Option B: Install a big bore kit (What size I dont know)...

I'd like to get an idea for what I'm going to be looking at as far as prices are concerned when dealing with parts and possible labor costs if I find I dont have time to do the work.

your looking at around 1800.00 for a 80" rebuild & around 2500.00 for a big bore rebuild

All depends on what is wrong/worn.
While a big bore kit to 88", or even 97", can be very, very, powerful, do not short-change the idea of staying at 80".
We have dedicated combinations that will push those well north of 90/90.
gsxrboy, on this message board assembled one of our combo's last spring.
It won it's class in a Dyno Shootout, after driving several hrs to get there.
103 hp if I remember correctly.
Scott
