Evenin all. I have a 97 FLSTC. Stock except for an SE4 cam, adjustable pushrods and rejetted carb. Dealer had a deal on labor for performance parts so I bought a set of Screamin Eagle heads. Base gasket was leaking, found the hind cylinder was scored. Had it bored .010 and new 10.5-1 comp pistons installed. Course this required new ignition and carb. Picked it up a few days ago, 40-45 degrees out. First grade we came to it felt like it couldnt use all the throttle I give it. Seemed to pull better if I backed off some. On the flats it ran ok, 90-95. Hit next hill and lost 20-30 mph in 5th. Popped, farted and pinged. Dropped a gear, still pinging, hit third and it smoothed out some and we topped the divide and eased down to the flats. Opened it up again to 90-95 to the next incline where she bogged down again. Dealer thinks the carb wasn't set right when dyno'd. I'm thinkin piston clearance wasn't right. Anybody have any ideas?

Ok, so I hauled my 97 Heritage back to the dealer that did the upgrade. Been there 2 weeks. They say the connecting rod crank pins are worn. Said they checked them when they did the upgrade and they were fine but that the bump up in the horsepower will sometimes bring out any weaknesses and deficiencies. Also the pistons were showing some scuffing. Have about 150 miles on them. Nothing mentioned about carb problems causing this. Any more ideas out there? Thanx in advance.
