Pop ups on phone when viewing forum

Wiz, just FYI. I had this same darn problem about a week ago to the point where the brand new S7 Edge I have had to be factory reset.
I didn't put 2 and 2 together until I saw a few of these posts floating around because once it was setup, the first website I went to was the HDFORUM site.

Thanks. While you're here, what's up with the Quick Chooser?

What's this reference to the quick chooser, second time i've seen it mentioned in here?
As yet, I've been unable to see a pop-up on my iPhone and I've tried logged in, cleared cookies and logged out, and still nothing. I don't have access to an Android device, but I find it very strange that the only people experiencing these issues are using Android's. I really have to wonder if there is vulnerability in Android device/browsers and a ******** advertiser is taking advantage of it surreptitiously.
I'll have the tech team take a looksee once they get into the west coast office.
cheers,
robb

When my browser gets taken over is that considered an ad? I have never experienced this before and find it quite annoying and consider it to be forced advertising. It should be illegal.
Has someone gained access to my phone?
FWIW there have been a few who have mentioned having this issue on iPhones so it does not seem to be limited to Androids.

It happened twice on my android so I don't even browse to the HDF site on my phone anymore. Whatever is happening is happening with the mobile version of the website. I have never had an issue when I browse to the normal version of the site on my phone. only when that mobile version comes up.

hey everyone,
Our tech team is having some difficulty replicating this as well. So I need some help from you guys.
If you get a pop up, or a browser redirect happen to you, can you please document the following for me in here?
Describe what you were doing here on HDF before the popup/hijack happened. Screenshot of the page where it happened that includes the URL. If you were put into a new browser window, please close that and send us a screenshot of the page that *sent* you to the new window and paste that in here for me.
Thanks for your help and our apologies for the inconvenience.
