I just noticed there is a little number 1 in parenthesis on my reply button. Anyone know what that is?

 

It is a previous quote waiting to be pasted into a new reply.

There is an option to remove it when you quote someone. look below your reply as you get ready to quote.

 

That's a 1 warning. 3 warnings and you are out...thread lightly my dude... thread lightly...

 

When you click on multi-quote on someone else's post, it marks that post as one that will be quoted when you click reply. You can click and unclick as many multi-quotes as you'd like, and that number will increasae. The system will even save them for your next reply to the same thread, if you don't reply or unclick them before you leave the thread. Multi-quote is a great feature, but you have to experiment with it sometimes in order to know how it works.

Little knows tid-bit: If you click multi-quote on the last reply and then go back and click another post from earlier in the thread, they will display in the order you clicked them, not in chronological order. It's a handy feature.
