Anyone using the mobile site ? Any idea how to post pics from phone? I'm thinking there's a lot of potential for the mobile site but it seems a little clunky right now. It needs an easy interface for us to post pics directly from phone. Maybe someone can develop an app (android) for the site. Anyone interested ? I know I'd post more pics if I could do it straight from my phone.

My blackberry automatically goes to the mobile site for numerous websites, including this one, and I'm on my BB right now. But, I've never tried to upload any pics while on my BB. I do find that when I post that my signature pic never show up even though I have it set up to on my BB. I t think if the website recognizes a BB or other handheld maybe it justs connects automatically? Just my experience.

 

I didn't know there was a mobile site, and I don't know doodley about writing any apps. However, I will wade in here in support though.

Having something like that would certainly give this site another dimension of usability, especially if you are tracking a post seeking trouble shooting information, or selling/purchasing items.

Why do you need an app, when your browser should be able to view just fine. As far as uploading pics, on the quick reply box, click 'go advanced' and you should be able to select what pic(s) you want to upload.

 

I think an Andriod/IPhone app would ibe awesome! It could have an easy/quick interface for uploads And a quick tracking method to follow threads, as mentioned above. Maybe we could convince the mod to develop an app or contact someone to do it. Android would be the easiest since its open source. Anyone know a programmer. I don't think its very hard to build/develop an app, but its beyond my capabilities.

 

My Iphone works great for browsing the site but but doesnt like to respond th threads and PM's. Its very slow and clunky when tring to post so a app would be great.

 

It might allow limited pics too which would be nice. I don't see any pics in my mobile site. Just links I have to open to see pics.

 

How do you find the mobile site with an iPhone? I can browse good enough on the regular site, but like bberck said, it's very hard to post or reply with it.
