I'm gathering parts do swap an Enforcer wheel on my 05 Classic. This requires the 08 and up Brembo calipers. My question is can anyone say with certainty if I have to swap out the master cylinder too? I've seen posts that say yes and posts that say no.
I never swapped mine, works fine. Check the cap on your reservoir for the correct brake fluid. They switched around "05 to DOT4. If you have DOT5 you'll need to flush the newer calipers.
Fluid MUST match the calipers, need to flush the old DOT5 out.I also kept the 2001 master and hoses for now,not any "travel" in the lever but you'll get used to it,so far they work great.
Yes they do. Do your new calipers have the bleeder screws, you'll need them. Also you might want to up grade to the '08 brake line. If not you may have to ream your old line eyes to fit the new bleeders. 2) shorter bolts 44160-00 are also needed to mount the calipers.

I got the 08 brake line assembly today. The hose from the m/c to the distribution block doesn't look much like my 05 version. You changed yours out to the newer one?
I haven't changed mine yet, they should just bolt on. Using the old line you may have to ream the eyes like I did plus twist the lines a little to get them to line up. Yes, the '08 lines are smaller.

What did you use to ream the stock banjo fittings with? I think I'll try to reuse the stock line rather than the 08 up line.
