I run a 21" up front and the stock 16" on the rear. My bike is a 05' RK Custom. Love the way it looks and handling wasn't affected all that much. For me the rear didn't show enough to replace at this point but when the rear tire wears out I will replace the rear with a matching 18" tire and wheel.

I want to do the same thing - upgrade my wheels & tires. Thinking 18/18 Hogpro Indy's - BUT, I also heard that going to a bigger wheel/tire will lower my load ratings. Is this true? If so, how much? I want better performance, but not at the expense of losing gvw ratings. I only weigh 190#, and my girl is 120# - we do load the bike's bagsfrom time to time when we head out for trips - so I am concerned about load ratings.
Please help.

ORIGINAL: Hogpro

ORIGINAL: AZ RKC

What is the biggest wheel/tire you can put on a 2007 RKC
18 x 4.25 and 160/60-18 Metzeler. This combo sometimes causes rubbing depending on the bike and wheel used, so we always recommend the 150.

Jerry @ Hogpro
Does this hold true for the '06's???? I want the higher load rating of the 160. If there is a rub issue, can I assume it's with the belt guard? I have no problem making a few mods to get it to clear, as long as it's not swapping out swingarms or some ****! Thanks! jason

If you are concerned about load ratings run the Avons instead of the Metzlers. Avon tires have higher load ratings.

I've heard that the Avons are a good tire, but wear much faster that Metz and are not as good handling. Is this true?
