I used those bolt on things- Burley Brand 1" Lowering kit. Ebay- $79 buck to the front door. THey installed in about 10 minutes the price was right and it lowered CG. I ride 2 up a lot and the wifey is no "little woman". Never bottom out, never rub fender.

The 1" lowered shocks from HD are the same as on a stock Street Glide. I've seen alot of kits on E-bay and I don't know how I feel about them. They change the geometry of the shock, and to be honest, I don't think I like it. The 1" ones might not be so bad, but anymore than that, I'm not so sure.

Default Shocks

I did the 12" Progressives for my '02 RK. I bought them cheap from a member here, work great, some don't like the ride compared to the stock air shocks, but I love 'em. Several adjustments and got them just right for Solo and 2up...
