Default Slider interchangability

Redoing the front on my blue chopper (see pics) and got a killer deal on some 49-77 style 41mm fork tubes. The sliders (or lower legs) that would normally be used either came with drum brakes or banana caliper mounts. Since I really would like modern braking (and vintage sliders are expensive) does anyone know if the more modern sliders would interchange? I got the fork tubes brand new and the exact length I want for $20 so you see why I want to use them if possible.

No pics came through man . The tube you bought will not work with 84 and up legs the damper assy. is different and the leg inside dia. is wrong , been there and have a nice selection of those early tubes new in several lengths . You can add aftermarket disc brake setups to the early legs GMA has a couple ways to go for them or if your a bit creative you can adapt things yourself , not that hard with a few tools and a bit of ingenuity .
