Default Flipped my rear shocks

Hey all, I flipped the rear shocks on my fxdxi to accommodate fxdp saddlebags. Has anyone done this and should I be concerned?

Thanks!

Shocks are generally made to be installed one way up, not upside down. You may find the damping in them doesn't work properly, as it is different in one direction (compression) to the other. So yes, I think you should be concerned, as stock shocks are not the brightest product on the planet and need all the help they can get. Being upside down may confuse the hell out of them!

There is definitely a "Top" and "Bottom" on the shocks for a reason ... valving ... reservoir ... baffling ...etc ... etc ...etc !

Thanks guys, I have since found a way to flip them back to original but rotated the upper/lower mount to accommodate the bag supports.
