I've got a new to me bike, with an aftermarket springer front end. It rode fine, but I noticed about 1/4" end play on the front axle. I assume it needs longer shims, or something. So, I've removed the nuts and the caliper, but the axle won't come out. Before I break out a bigger hammer, is there a step I've missed?
