Licensing scheme
So just a bit of a rant from me.
Purchased a Power Vision a little over a year ago and paid the $199 for the license for my 2010 FLHTK.
Just traded it in for a 2016 FLHTK and restored the 2010 back to original tune and then found out I have to pay $199 again to use it on my 2016. This licensing scheme just irks me a bit. I understand a bit why they do this in order to prevent folks from using it on multiple bikes but in my mind I'm paying to use the system on a single bike and if I can show proof the bike was traded in why do I need to pay $199 again? I don't know, this just doesn't seem right to me.
I likely won't buy another license and will look at another tuner that allows transfer from one bike to another with no fee.
Anyway, rant over.

I think hes not happy about having to pay the fee period. I understand his point. I had the same gripe when I traded my 2012 fatboy in on my 13 road glide. I was forced to for over $200 to keep using it.
I understand that dynojet would lose tons of money by people selling used power visions ***** nilly. So they implement a license fee to re-coup the costs. What I have a problem with is, If im the original owner of the power vision and I trade bikes, why force a $200 fee on my to keep using the product iv already paid full retail price on that I own.
Now, where the fee should come into play is dealers and tuners wanting to tune hundreds of bikes a year with one power vision. Also, the fee could be implemented to the person that I chose to sell the power vision to when im done with it. There would have to be some type of registration system setup by Dynojet to support this.

If you had any other flash tuner on the market you would have to buy any entire new tuner, not just a license. Power Vision is the only flash tuner on the market with the ability to license multiple bikes, all others are single use and marry to a single bike.

As I said, a single license with power vision would have cost me $400 in a 3 month period because some jackass pulled out in front of me.
