Power Vision + Autotune

Power Vision + Autotune
I posted this in the other forum: Figured I would give it a go here:
Looking to see if anyone has done this yet? I have not been able to find any posts and was simply curious for some input.
I am happy with the PV, but I am afraid that I am not using the the full feature set - or know how, the documentation is minimal at best. One thing that comes to mind is the ability to datalog, but I have not found an easy view on device it claims "error reading file", also have not found auto-adjust/recommendation feature based on datalog.
According to Dynojet the device has: "On-Device Tune Editing – allows users to change / edit basic tuning parameters on the device, and then deliver the changes to the vehicle ECM without using a computer" ...haven't found that either.
Some of the other tuners out there supposedly have these features, and just curious if I simply have not found them or that I simply do not have the "additional" components that are suppose to allow this.
How does the autotune feature work with the PV? Do you have to have it plugged in at all times for it to work? Does it simply provide that "recommended settings" at the time of the log? Will ECM throw CELs if PV is not connected?
Just trying to justify it before running to the dyno if it may not be necessary; especially with the very variable climate in the New England for the all weather rider.
