What that set you back? I was just looking for a set of the old classic tapered turbo's , $700 a set? are they f*cking serious? Last ones I bought were $180 a few years back.

Late to the party but I can appreciate what you have done. I have 2 old machines in my garage and I could care less if anyone but me smiles when they see them. Most people have no idea what they are and how old they are when I blast through town. I too went with paugcho exhaust on my 83 FXR, great folks.
The pipes that came on the bike were one piece but the mufflers were botched by PO. I was able to get slip ons from paugcho and just cut off the butchered mufflers. The rear pipe had a tab welded on and bolted to the trans. An exhaust pipe bracket 65303-82 was stock along with trans bracket 65671-82.
