Dirt bikes from age 12 to age 17. No riding from age 18 to 25. Riding on the street since I was 26, 30 years ago.

It isn't the years, its the miles -- getting close to 1/2 million

Hell, gentlemen, I can remember being called a wimp for riding a bike with an electric start.
Different days then; now we've got folks complaining because the wind blows on them when they ride. "Oh, my goodness, how can I make it stop!?!" |
Well DannyZ71 If you are thinking that two wheels and a motor counts, I started riding a minibike in 1967 at 8 years old. I got my first street legal motorcycle in 1973 at 14 years old, and got my MC license at the age of 15 in 1974. So that puts me in the saddle of two wheels and a motor for 48 years, and a street legal motorcycle for 42 years. The strange thing is, is that neither my father or mother rode motorcycles at all, they were pure blood cagers, however my dads oldest brother was a biker.

Continuously? The most I've ever ridden in a day was 1500 miles. Other than that, I usually take a few hours, or a day or two, or a winter between rides.
My first bike was a Triumph Bonneville which I rode from 1985 to 1988. In '88, I bought my first Harley, a Heritage. Been on Harley's ever since. |
Rode my first trail bike at 14 and got my first Harley in 1973 at age 22. I'll go by the date I actually owned a bike, so that would be 42 years.
