If your garage isnt heated just start it up in the garage and let the exhaust warm your garage and that in return will warm up your bike...

Used to be **** about a warmup but learned as long as the engine is not revved just take it easy for a few minutes all is good. As you have read there are lot of opinions all work you will end up with your own.
