Default Go for an inspection ......last year and no rear brake light...

So the service writer does the inspections. She comes and tells me last year that I have no rear brake light. I go out and push the pedal once and nothing. The next 30 times it works every single time after that...So she passed it. I said so whats the problem? She says oh we have a kit that rebuilds the master cylinder....So how much? $250 for parts and labor...

So this year I get the bike out and I check the brake light. This time it won't work no matter what I try. So I call the same dealer but this time I talk to parts. I said I want to buy this kit for the master cylinder. He kinda chuckles and says no clue what you are talking about...But I have a new switch for $20....So I get the switch and put it on and ALL FIXED....CROCK OF **** THAT THEY WOULD CHARGE SOMEONE $250 for that JOB!!! That is exactly why I have never had them do ANYTHING!!!!

Wow, at least you didn't buy the blinker fluid. I'm glad everything worked out for you.

Rebuild it? Even if you needed a master cylinder (not sure how that could affect the light, which is electronic and runs off a switch) you can replace the whole thing with a fancy, chrome, overpriced Performance Machine master cylinder for that price.

What dealer did that?
