Is it possible to view a motorcycles service/repair records from HD dealer? Meaning..I bought a '98 Dyna and curious what all was done to it through the years prior to me owning it. The seller said he only dealt with a dealer...so I assume they have the history of the bike...I just don't know if that's "protected" information.(not sure why it would be)
Any advice appreciated

No. Unless you know how to hack into their system which will then create another problem for you of the legal kind.

I don't see why you couldn't call or see the dealer, explain you purchased the bike and ask for a print out of the service work done to it...it should be in their computer.

Maybe bring your bill of sale to prove you own the bike...do it in person.

Personally, I keep all of my worksheets and receipts of parts I've bought. Too bad more owners don't.

I don't think you should have a problem. I bought mine used and called the closest dealer. Once I gave them the VIN, they were able to tell me the dealer where all the work was done. Called that dealer and they emailed me all of the service records.

Getting service records from dealers is pretty common, on nearly any type of vehicle. Never had a dealer say NO.
