Softail slim to VRod?
Was thinking of selling my slim and buying a Vrod any issues with the Vrod heat etc? (2015 nightrod special)
have not done a test ride yet as I do not wish to get the dealership spun up, and wish to do a little research first. I have read that there are some heat issues with exhaust and have also asked the same question on the Vrod forum.
Anyone with a Vrod or moved into or out of a Vrod insight sought?

I have to chime in here...not because I have experience with either bike but because I just got home from a ride during which time I stopped into one of the local dealers and couldn't take my eyes off a brand new black Slim with apes.
I never really had an interest in the Slim (or the V-rod for that matter) but I couldn't stop looking at that bike.

No heat issues when the fans kick in? been reading too much about hot exhaust pipes (aftermarket) and that it is way uncomfortable with the fans running sitting in traffic? I cannot imagine it would be any worse then my slim with 103.

I had a 2012 slim for the weekend when my bike was in for a stage one tune.
This bike was by far the best handling bike I had ridden in a long time.
In 2013 they went to the lowered rear end which meant slower steering angle and harsher ride.
I personally would stick with the slim, especially if its the 2012 model.
If you want something different, check out the RSD Del Mar, which could be achieved for less than an trade to a different bike I would think.
