Default Attn Oregon riders

I currently live in Southern California but will be moving back home to Washington in March. I know oregon has no sales tax and was wondering if that applies to motorcyles as well if I can go down there and get a bike cause of that I will.

ok... i have bought 4 bikes in oregon, i live just acrossed the river in vancouver washington... when you buy a car or anything in oregon the need to be registered in washington then you will have to pay taxes on the value.... the way you reduce those taxes is to buy used and have the seller put a different amount on the bill of sale... that is the only not legal way to do the taxes as far as i know

Like Deano said, other states have figured out a loophole to beat your loophole....lol

But do buy all accessories and such from OR. I live about 1 hour away and like to purchase larger ticket items there (electronics, tires, etc.).

Your drivers license address is going to have to match the address on your vehicle registration.

And what about insurance? If...thats if!...something happens to your new ride it seems they will figure the PO Box thing out right quick...

And I think Washington is like most states and use fair market value so undervalue wont work.

But its not all bad...no state income tax!!!!!

Makes sense. But I have noticed that Oregons prices for street glides are fairly high. Just saw a 2013 with 32,000 miles for 19k. I can get a 14 for that price in Cali OTD with damn near no miles. Crazy how prices differ from state to state.
