Default Is Kuryakyn a brand to put on Harley?

Wondering how Kuryakyn fairs for use on a Harley bike.
Have used them on other brand cycles.
Do their products take away from the look of the Harley,
or is it just what you feel works for you.

Thx

You are going to get a mixed bag of opinions on their products based on how it looks on other people's bikes, so prepare yourself.

My opinion: If you are happy with the results, who cares what anybody else thinks.

Kury has some kind of deal with Harley. Dealers promote their products, and can't carry their competitors.
I bought their adjustable passenger pegs. I had nothing but problems with them. As a matter of fact I'll send you a left one free, if you want it. You'll have to tighten it every few thousand miles though. I can't send you the right one because it caused the stock bolt to shear off, because of poor design.
I eventually replaced them with Rivco passenger Boards which are way better.
My Kury highway pegs worked fine however, so it's a mixed bag.

I am buying LED passing lights from them as well as the skeleton hand holding mirrors they look pretty good.

We are using their adjustable hand levers on both the street bob and the breakout - much better than harley oem crap so much easier to pull.

We had problems with Harley brakes - harley brakes are really hard to pull especially on our bikes because we got abs.

NOTE: the fit isn't that great from them though, our levers shake and rattle a lot on the dyna street bob (not so bad on the breakout) but then again we don't remember what the oem were like because we got them replaced 2 weeks after we took our bikes home - however the finish on the levers are amazing quality.

They do have tons of stuff for Harley...some of it is OK...various foot pegs for example, and they have comfy ISO hand grips (but so do a ton of other brands). My prior bike, I put on their smoked LED tail lights and turn sigs...overall I wasn't impressed with the quality of those...got them brand new, wouldn't get them again. Current Shovel..I have their ISO grips and the big D shaped passenger paddle foot rests. Got them all used.

For getting accessories...I much prefer shopping at swap meets...looking for older stuff. Tends to be better quality (unlike newly cheap quality made in china junk)..and of course dirt cheap. And I like the idea of getting good old used parts and giving them life again on my bike.

Kuyrakyn is pretty much junk in my opinion...poor fit, cheap chrome.
I would never recommend their **** to anyone.

I used Kuryakyn 3" extensions for the forward controls on my previous FXDWG and had nothing bad to say about them. The fit was spot on and the quality of the chrome was great. On my current FXDWG it was the first add on I purchased.

You buy their stuff and if it fails you can take it back to them @ a rally where they are working and they will normally exchange it free of charge.(without the receipt).

Try that locally even if your dealer knows that you bought it @their facility(without the receipt) and they will shoot you down.

Oh and another thing, there are only so many manufacturers of parts..
Many times often than naught HD and Kury use the same ones.
The packaging is only different.

Welcome from the Space Coast!

Kury stuff is hit or miss. take it out of the packaging and look at it closely before you buy it or install it. Some stuff is good quality some not so much. I've found it's pretty obvious what you should stay away from.

Happy Motoring!
