Confused Electa Glide vs. Ultra Limited
#12
The Electra Glide has been around since 1965. The first one was a Panhead, the last year for the Pans, and it got an electric starter - hence the name Electra Glide.
I like the name, Electra Glide. It speaks history, heritage, and tradition all in one simple name. Elvis rode an Electra Glide. The name Ultra, not so much. It is not as timeless as Electra Glide.
If Harley ever quits building Electra Glides it would be a turning point. I don't know if it would be a good turning point, or bad. But it would be the end of an era, and the end of what is probably one of the most recognizable motorcycles in history.
