I ride to work as long as it's not snowing. Just recently it was 27 deg. when I headed out at 4 A:M. Found a little frost on the road that morning and got lucky and stayed upright!
Haven't broken out the Gerbings yet this year.

I pretty much draw the line at 50 degrees now. With my electric liner and over-pants I can ride in colder temps but the more gear I wear, the less fun it is. I froze my butt off for so many miles when I was younger that the thrill of riding in cold weather is gone, but I do keep the DR650 ready if I want to take a short winter ride.

Yes, all the way down into the single digits thanks to heated gear.

50 isn't too bad, hate bundling up like an eskimo much below that.

I don't, wear one thermal underlayer then a shirt and jeans with chaps. Heater gear takes care of the rest.

Wife rides to work at 7:30 in the morning and it isn't above the 50°s at that time in the dead of summer.

I figured 50°F was a fair cut-off number because due to the number of "How do I winterize" threads at the end of September.

Heated gear guys. It's light ,thin ,and warm , it is a difference maker. Don't have to dress like the kid from. Christmas story.
