well, it was 22 this morning -- dry weather is not a problem -- but we had snow, rain and ice last night --- I won't be out on the bike --- have to take the truck.

Here in Metro Detroit we can have a 50 degree day every once in awhile during the winter and I'd go out and ride. Trouble is you have to deal with powdered salt (which is bad for the bike and dangerous to ride on) and, "tomorrow" can be 15 degrees (or even colder) turning whatever condensation was left in the bike from today's ride into something really bad. As much as I'd like to ride, I generally mothball the bike until late March.

The snow mostly melted on the roads today, but the slush and wet is freezing now that the sun's going down. I expect heavily salted roads for morning rush hour (other folks' rush hour, I don't do that anymore), so this might be the end till spring. Of course it ain't one of my Harleys, two wheels don't handle for sh*t on ice.

Less than an hour ago, 28 degrees -

So hilarious and original. You come up with that all by yourself?
Stop by some time.

Did the assigned military personnel ride during the wars in below freezing temps w/o including the wind chill factor with fortitude?
That's a trip, and God bless them and the rest while thinking about it. That's the only reason I'd ride during the Winter months, unless broke.
