Default Special Friends and Christmas Gifts

After riding by myself and family members for years, I (we) met another couple at an automobile event in "08 and quickly discovered that we also shared many other similarities, such as our love for Harley-Davidson's.

After riding many miles and seasons together, this Christmas we shared another Christmas and after dinner and desserts we exchanged gifts.

Earlier this year, the other couple asked if we had any "extra" H-D T-shirts?
Both the wife and I have lost weight and we did have many new, matching "extra" t-shirts, so we forked them over!

WELL, tonight when we exchanged Christmas gifts, I was totally blown over when they "presented" me with an "in-process" hand made, H-D, quilt cover" made from our donated H-D T-shirts!!!!

A truly, carefully selected, meaningfully selected, and designed, "work-of-art"!!!!
I (we) was really impressed!

I have a '98 FLSTS (95th Anniversary Edition Heritage Springer) and they also gave me a matching, 95th H-D, Anniversity Edition pocket watch, display stand and pouch!

As soon as THE "QUILT" is completed, I'll attempt to post a picture.

Friends rarely come along like this. EH?

Just thought I'd share this.

that's really neat. There are good people out there, few and far between, but they do exist.

Wow! That's some gift, and some friends! A buddy of mine similarly lost a lot of weight (gastric surgery) a couple of years ago and decided to have a quilt made from his collection of too-large shirts. Don't have a picture of it, but it really turned out great. The quilt was made by a friend of his wife who gave him a special "friends & family" price -- but the regular price would have been over $1,000 (!)
