Everyone so far makes great points- It's your requirements versus type of helmet.
Like all things in our world- the choice is yours.
Type, composition, color, brand, and price may vary...

Wink Get more than one...

As mentioned earlier helmet selection comes down to how and where you ride. Here in southern Arizona I wear the full face about half of the time as it gets too warm in the hotter weather though I do feel it provides more overall protection and is quieter.

The 3/4 is cooler and gives a little bit better peripheral vision and I end up alternating between the two depending on the weather, length of the ride, anticipated traffic to be encountered etc.. I also have three riding jackets and a hi vis vest that give me almost limitless choices depending on what I need for a particular ride. It is always nice to have choices.

Half is out of question for me, can't stand the wind noise. I have two of them, in addition they will start moving to the back of my head when I go a little faster.
3/4 for summer, FF for cold weather.

If I was compelled to own only one helmet, it would be a modular. Better yet, a modular that can have the lower portion removed to convert to a 3/4.

In reality, I have 2 fulls, 1 modular (my first), a 3/4 and a half. Which one I wear has a direct relation to the temperature. However, I may go full instead of 3/4 if my trip is long and/or covers much highway/thruway.

Funny you say that- in Summer, I sometimes wear a modular across desert areas if I'm on a marathon ride alone for UV protection more than anything else. Too many of my friends have facial skin melanomas at our age.

Yes it does. Get hot. And it feels even hotter when you go 80+. Windchill backwards. I still wear 3/4.

you ok? Don't worry, it gets better. Take a breath and move on.

45% of injuries to the skill happen on parts of the skull not covered by a FF. 60% of skull injuries happen on parts of the skull not covered by a 1/2 helmet. Your choice.
