Well hallelujah! I finally got my bike back at last, to the tune of 1020.58, but boy howdy is it quite, and smooth, even quieter and smother than when it was brand spanking new halle-dadgum-lujah, I'll catch y'all later.

All 19 of mine are so ready to roll all the time. So that from last Nov. 1 to date I have over 11,000 miles of wonderful winter adventure. I do 30 to 40K miles a year. How many do you southern riders do?

Riders need to get out of their heads that where one lives determines how much riding is done. Having passion for riding, being retired and having the resources are the more important factors to how much one rides.
I can also ride my boat year round, hows that work out for ya?

Sure isn't like the old days as far as bikes crapping out. You'll be ridding in no time.

Heated gear means it's never too cold to ride.

How many miles on the clock?

Pro's 'n cons to north and south...each has good 'n bad. Similar to Got'n'Spikes mentioned above...I rarely go more than 4 weeks without a ride. I think one brutal winter was a 6 week stretch. This past winter my Shovelhead didn't want to start one cold month so I fired up the wifes Sporty and went for a rip!
Bitch when the bikes smarter than we are isn't it ?

Default Well Halle-dadgum-lujah!

Well hallelujah! My bike has been the shop from 3/15/16 to 4/23/16 for a transmission main shaft bearing failure. You would thank being without a bike for 39 days wouldn't be too much of a problem, but I was starting to think about rubber rooms. Ok I got my bike back and I'm all better now, and the 07, 6 speed transmission is better as well, it is quieter and smother than it has ever been, even then, when it was brand spanking new. I'm out 1020.58 but, I am still above ground, but in another week, I think my wife and kids would have had some slow walking and some sad singing. LOL

I think that if dealers had to give loaners out while your bike was down, the work would get done quicker, and even if it wasn't, it would seem faster...

I'm not far behind you-my 07 dyna has 52K on it and I'm expecting something to fail at this point that will take it OOS for a good chunk of time. I really want to get a back-up bike for those times and share milage so I slow down on wearing out my main bike. Wifes got a sportster with low miles but it's no where near the same as riding the big twin. I'm thinking a low milage early TC as a second bike-promised I'd redo the bathrooms before I get a second bike-going to have to get after those chores!
