Thinking about buying a trailer so I can haul my 2012 SG. Going to South Texas next week. But i don't know if it's worth the money to buy a trailer if I will only use it once or twice. Any suggestions?

 

Have you considered riding your SG to South Texas? How far is that from Ft. Worth?

 

It's 333 miles. More concerned about the possibility of rain on the way back(as it shows right now.)

I hate riding in the rain. I won't do it if I don't have to.

Rent a mc trailer

 

Uhaul rents motorcycle trailers for 15 bucks a day. I would go that route if you only plan on using it once or twice. Then you wont have to worry about storing it, tires or maintenance.

 

Based on your criteria, you should buy a trailer. Get a decent enclosed one, paint it MoCo black and orange, and put HD decals on it. If possible, pull it with a HD version Ford pickup.

It's what I did, and even if I leave the keys in the truck, no one will steal the truck, the trailer, or even the bike.
