2 months ago I received a post card from HD stating that if I do a test ride they will GIVE me a pair of HD riding boots,which I did,they claim they ordered the boots,that was a week before bike week Daytona 2016,has any body else received this card,boots still not in,????

 

I've never heard of this offer.

Was it really from HD, or one of your local dealers?

 

it was from HD,i went down with the card gave it to clothing dept took a test ride on a 16 SG,liked it couldn't work a deal for my 12 SG,they said the would order the boots,and that's we"re i'm at,i've called every week ,(not in !) just lookin for anybody else who got this card ?

 

They're probably waiting for the paper mache boots to arrive from China. Don't worry, they'll be here soon.

 

Maybe you get the boots when you bought the 16 only.....

OP, you say the card came from HD. I respectfully doubt it. I bet it said something like: Come on down to Joe Scammer's HD in Cheatemville, NY. Take a test ride on any new HD and we'll give you a pair of riding boots*

*Riding boots offered with any test drive resulting in purchase of any new HD at retail price with financing from Joe Scammer's HD Credit Dept and purchase of any two of the following: Super Platinum Deluxe Extended Warranty, Diamond Edition Paint Protection/Fabric Guard/Rustproofing Package, Top-Tier Maintenance and Storage Package.

Recently, I've been getting email promotions from my local dealers with asterisks and fine print so small that it can't be read at any resolution on my laptop screen.

 

Sounds like something Chuck's Deluxe would pull.
When you get there, one boot is free, the other one is $300 (and they're both left feet).

 

The deal was you get free boots from those IN STOCK on the day of the test ride. Unfortunately, on the day of your test ride they didn't have any in stock.

They'll order them? Yeah, keep waiting.

 

Never heard of that deal. Free boots for a test ride sounds like something that would have got my attention

 

Perhaps contact the Dealer.
That's what I would do.
