Talking Riding to Laughlin for the river run...

Thought it might be too late to get a room but had no problem booking at the Tropicana for a Wednesday - Friday. The total came to $243 for two nights including the junk fees and taxes and includes a couple of breakfasts so not too bad for booking this late.

We will ride up from Tucson and spend Tuesday night at my buddies place in Mesa which shortens the ride to Laughlin to just 235 miles. Hopefully the weather will cooperate but his time of year I like our chances. Hell, if the weather goes south on me I'll just drive the cage {gag!), but either way will not miss all of the fun.

Not our first trip to Laughlin so I know what to expect. Probably go up the 303 off of I-10 and then the 60/93 to I40, on down to Bullhead City and across the river to Laughlin. The return trip is wide open with lots of options. We had so much fun at the Bike Fest 2016 last weekend in Glendale this seemed like a no brainer {except for waiting so long to book}.

You gotta love being retired and living in southern Arizona...

Aren't you just a little ray of sunshine...

Check your calendar dude, ancient history. I kind of doubt anyone there is going to give a rats *** about a couple of senior citizens having fun on the back of our Dyna Super Glide.

Besides I have a "Get out of jail free card" from an Angel that I scaped up off the street after he crashed years ago. I stayed with him until the the paramedics hauled him away and then stayed with his bike. Called his girlfriend and she and a couple of his buddies came and picked it up. Then went to the ER and let him know his ride was safe and secure {but more than a little "damaged"}.

I seriously doubt he's still around but no expiration date on helping a brother. Guess I'll just keep trusting my karma. LOL.

Just be aware of your surroundings as you don't want to get caught in the crossfire when it hits the fan.

I'd be making sure you don't get in between the IO and the Mongols. Still bad blood from the Denver event

Always a good ride and time in Laughlin, Last year the ride home to WA State was a thrill. Wind, Rain, and hail out of Tonopah. Enjoy the ride.

It is at the top of my list of places to visit in western Arizona but think I will save it for the next trip in the RV, a 2012 Nexus Phantom 23P {though I am not ruling it out completely}.

Don't plan on riding all the way home 345 mile, on Friday as this will be my brides first long ride. We may stop at Lake Havesu, Wickenburg or even jog on up to Sedona for a day or two just to break up the return trip.

The Dinosaur/Raptor riding group go up every year and has never had any problems. Just like Capt Steve says it is different when you are a group of senior citizens having fun. The Casino let us where our colors until Thursday then we switched to soft colors with out any problems. To be fair our colors look like we belong to a Archeologist group and not a motorcycle riding group. LOL. Hey Capt Steve if you see any of us stop and say high.
