Default Stick on Magnification for Riding Glasses

I'm one of those that doesn't need a perscription glasses for distance, just for reading, and let's be honest, it's the dam phone. Really everything else is fine.

So today I put on my WileyX stock riding glasses the Hydrotac Stick on Bifocal lenses. I bought the 1.5's based on my wife's department store cheater glasses.

I trimmed them with scissors so they would fit the contour of my glasses and be below my line of sight. You can dry fit them and even put them on to get the height and location.

Once sizes are good, I cleaned my finger prints and you put a drop of water on the lenses and press the pieces into the water and position them. Squeeze out what you can for water under them and done. Directions say full adhesion is 24 hours.

I just finished them up. I think I see just fine over them for riding, and I can certainly read my phone better with them than I could before. I'm anxious to try them out on the bike.

Or you could go to various tents at any bike rally and buy bi-focal sunglasses for $8.00, 2 for $15.

I tried those for a while. Then, at Wally World (Walmart), I found some sunglasses with bifocal inserts with various magnifications. I found that the stick on lenses tended to dry up after a while.

I never use the phone when riding, it's when I stop so I don't have to change glasses.

I'm hoping these fix a small problem for me as these WilyX glasses are much nicer than the cheap glasses at the rally's.

Real glasses are not that expensive.

You can get sunglasses or no lines bifocals with progressive lenses at Walmart for around $250 and maybe cheaper elsewhere if you shopped around.

Nobody likes to wear glasses but sooner or later you just have to give in.

I use KD readers. You can get them off ebay for like $11. But then again I've always used KDs while riding anyway.

Not sure I would risk damaging a pair of Wiley X's but it's an idea.
