Used one last year to drag my Fatboy 600 miles (had to take other stuff in the pickup). Worked great. I had to stick a 2x4 under the ramp so i didn't bottom out. Next time I'll use a shorter drop hitch, should work fine.

Rent one. They're cheap and work well. I dragged mine at 70mph.

I rented one when I bought my Fatboy. It was in March of 2015 and it was too cold to ride. As the previous posters have mentioned, it works well and I would rent one again. Low cost and well worth it.

I rented one to bring my ultra up to NH. The thing is built like a brick sh*thouse. Has plenty of tie down spots. The only thing is that the ramp is a little short (or maybe it's me that's short) so I brought along two 2x10s about 6 feet long to step on when loading and unloading so I always had foot contact.

Rented one to tow my Road King a few weeks ago. Plenty of tie downs to secure motorcycle and has the V for the front tire. Just check the tension of the tie down straps and keep the kickstand down as a fail safe measure in case a strap gets loose.
Drove over 1800 miles with no issues and could hardly tell the pickup was towing anything. Would definitely recommend `

Not sure I agree on the kickstand. Most of what I have read says using it when towing defeats the benefit of having the shocks absorb the bumps. Makes sense. I agree that you need to check the tie downs. Especially shortly after you start. But if done correctly and properly tied they won't be going anywhere

i'm sure that number is a cya kinda thing, but awful close with some of these bikes.....

I rented one last year and would recommend it. The price is right and it was a breeze to load and unload.

Rented one to get my Evo Softail to the dealer for trade in (wasn't licensed or insured). One of the best designed, well thought out things I've ever had the pleasure to use.

And towed it with a Pontiac Vibe hatchback easily.

i've rented one 9 or 10 times to haul friends bikes around. if i owned one i would install some kind of flag or something so you could see it backing up when there is not a bike on it. u-haul does sell some of their used trucks and trailers once in awhile. i remember looking at some on-line a few years ago.
