Well, I rode my 07 FXDL for the first time other than a short test ride at the dealer. This is also my first Harley. This may sound foolish but man I never felt like part of the bike when riding like I do on this bike! I'm only riding around my block and to work now until I take my BRC next month. I have riden before but never a Harley. I understand now when someone says its different on a Harley. I can't even put into words how good it feels to be on this bike. Pictures coming this weekend. Thanks for all the help the forum members here have given me. The knowledge base here is incredible. Ride safe everyone.

Congrats man. You will love the Low Rider like I do. Now you can start customizing. First thing I did was put on forward controls with the flame pegs. Much more comfortable ride in my opinion. I have had my bike for 5 months now and still get a thrill every time I climb on. Post some pic's when you get a chance and let us see that bad boy!

 

I know exactly what you mean. This is my first Harley andI rode metrics for years. I never believed all that "it's different on a Harley" crap... That is until I rode mine for the first time. I don't know what it is but it's just there. I rode my friend's Honda VTX the other day and sure it runs good but it just felt "dead"...

Anyway, welcome to the family... you'll never look back.
