My passenger has to ride with her leg out to keep from getting 2nd degree burns. Call me what you will, but a bike with 8000 miles shouldn't need to have $2800 worth of work within the first year. It should come from the manufacturer ready to ride.... not needing a different catalytic converter and headers. Oh and you think Harley is paying for the new headers?? Or the tuner??
hot running motorcycles are nothing new. my first street bike back in 1980 was a suzuki GS1000air cooled transverse 4. back when epa regs were starting, believe me, those machines ran hot, especially on a 90+ deg day. back then, motorcyclists realized that they have a fire breathing dragon between their legs and learned how to deal with it.

I was watching 2016 Softail Slim S review today on YouTube and the rider did state that his right leg got burned. He also pointed out the hot spot.

All of my jeans have scorch marks inside the right calf part of the leg. It never occurred to me to sue anyone over that.
