"Here is a "new" 1997 harley davidson softail. Fully loaded, with only 9 original miles.
Im listing this for my father, he got this from his dad.
He wanted to buy a crate motor cycle to use as a coffee table as an investment but harley won't sell a crate bike for liability reasons. So he bought this bike and sent it back as soon as it was delivered to be "museum ready" which includes Fluids, and battery removed, Etc. This is the condition its sitting in today!
Brand-NEW
Next year it was qualify for collector plates in wisconsin.
Not looking to give this bike away after holding onto it for 20 years.
I have all the original paperwork and other items, jacket, boots, and Etc.
Bike can be viewed monday-saturday 7am-7pm. just email me to set up an apt.
Bike has been stored inside heated and dry.
Asking $25,000.00 OBO
Thanks for looking!"

Hey, I still remember 1997. I bought my first new Harley then. Those were the days of 1-2 year deposit only, waiting lists. Five plus thousand dollar "convenience fees', and filthy scumbags buying up brand new bikes just to resell to RUBS at a huge profit. Likely the guy who bought this figured that twenty years later, this would be a 100K bike. But, Harley beefed up production, met demand, and the Evo's became last week's news. Still, I give the guy credit, if you had to pick a bike in 1997 that you would THINK would be the one worth all the cash. A Heritage Springer was probably an excellent choice.
