Default 2015 883n

So I bought this brand new 0 mile sporty, no miles how was it PDI? After a 1000mi break in of the bike I noticed the pipes were not bolted on more then finger tight onto the juggs... And the deflection in the belt was 2inches... So today I was reading up on the specs for this year bike. To my surprise it said it has a 2.3gal tank. I have topped my bike off a million times and can't get more then 2.2gal in her... So I started to question the year of my bike.. The frame vin is saying its a 2015 but the engine vin does not match the frame.. Why is this??? I'm starting to think Harley screwed me over.. Does the frame and engine vin have to be the same???????? Any help would be help...... The

I believe the 883 has a 3.2 gallon tank. What are you reading?
Post the VINs of the frame and motor and we'll try to figure it out for you.

My 2015 883 Iron had a 3.2 gallon tank. That's what comes with them. Did you take it in for the 1000 mile break in service? If not, loose bolts and the like are what it's designed to catch. This really needs to be done, whether you do it or a shop does it. As far as 0 miles with a PDI goes, they should have test rode it but probably figured it would be fine and any problems would be caught on a test ride. That was lazy and poor management at the dealership.
EDIT: 3.3 gallon tank, I think!

The ODO read a big fat zero? Huh, I thought HD ran them all before they're shipped out. Maybe that's just the big bikes; are you sure you were looking at the ODO and not the tripmeter? My Wide Glide had 1.4 miles on it and had not been started since it left the factory; I'd insisted it not be started or road tested by the dealership, that would have been a deal breaker. I've got to believe there was some mileage on your Sportster when you got it.

But nuts and bolts coming loose, belt deflection off? Oh yea, all perfectly normal...
