Was just there, good ride
Can't do glacier this year. Tried it last year but it was semi closed due to fires so ended up skipping it.

So just Yellowstone this year.

If you see a clump of cars, leave yourself lots of room.
Had something like that happen last year. You don't realize just how big one of those suckers is until it walks right next to you.

I just got home from my two week vacation. A week at Sturgis, then up to Glacier, then down to Yellowstone. I've never seen so many buffalo in my life. I had a park ranger come up behind me and tell me to get going....I showed him the picture I had just taken, and he profusely apologized. There was no frickin' way I was going to proceed with these two monsters directly in front of me!

I grew up on Hwy 212, at Hector, Mn. I saw the signs about the "Yellowstone Trail" all my life. I left Yellowstone via the NE exit, and found myself going over Bear Tooth pass. 10947 feet on the road, and 10,999 in the parking lot above the high point in the road. I couldn't find a spot to actually hit 11,000 feet, but there were others crawling up the rocks who certainly passed 11K feet. It was a long way down!

Really looking forward to the trip. I haven't been to Yellowstone in 40+ years and my wife has never been there.

By the way, if you are 62 or older, you can get a lifetime National Park pass for $10.

Enjoy your trip to Yellowstone and ride safe!
The lifetime pass was my biggest gift from my current road trip. Ten bucks, go to any National Park free from that point on. But make sure you have your driver's licence or other ID ready to show along with the pass card. Ask the hundred people behind me at Yellowstone how I know! I had my billfold/driver's license in the tour pack...

$149 for the Jacuzzi suite at Super 8 in Livingston, on north 89. It was worth it!

I booked ours back in January and lucked out that I was able to snag a room for 3 nights using my loyalty points.

Ride Safe!
