I just got back from Yellowstone and I think the east entrance from Cody is the best road it the Park. I spend four nights in the park there and could have spend four more to see more. I spend five nights at Glacier NP. Yellowstone is much better IMHO.
am planning on heading to Yellowstone mid Sept, haven't been there since 1990, will see how recovered after the big 1988 fire.
Yellowstone has many forest fires burning right now, but all are contained. Most are on the tops of mountains after the lightning storm a week ago. You can see the smoke of many of the fires in my pics.
What I'd like to do is drive the RV up there and trailer the HD. Get there and set up the RV and then spend about 2 weeks there riding every road and seeing everything.
If you stop at Old Faithful and have luggage with zippers, be sure to secure the zippers. The crows in the parking lot are very talented at opening luggage. They had my wife's stuff and my stuff scattered all over the parking lot! Yellowstone was on my bucket list and we were there the first week of June this year. And the senior pass is great!
