It took until 2007 to fix the problem. Thathe is what really bothers me. Also bothered they didn't test better.
Not a safety issue. I dunno how many but I think more they .5%.
Also must people have nor put enough miles on them yet.
Harley should gave identified thus as scheduled maintenance.

So now they fixed it. But fear not. We can still **** and moan about wheel bearings and compensators, among a few other things.

IF you're planning on keeping this bike for a while, I'd suggest that you spend some extra $ and upgrade it with the S/E Hydraulic Adjuster Kit.
This time of the year some dealers offer some good deals on engine upgrades and considering your bikes mileage it may be worth checking into a Big Bore Kit that would basically give you a new "upper end" engine which should also include new OEM adjusters.
Just a thought.
