Not a safety issue. I dunno how many but I think more they .5%.

Also must people have nor put enough miles on them yet.

Harley should gave identified thus as scheduled maintenance.
We've discussed this before - the average Harley rider puts on fewer miles in their tenure of ownership than you do a year. Take it as a compliment. But Harley caters to them. Not the people that actually ride. Their business model is to sell a guy a bike every two years. After all, how could one possibly live without having the latest greatest color? As such, something like the tensioners really didn't occur to them as a failure part. But a few wise guys like yourself decided to actually ride the damn things and low and behold, the weaknesses are exposed. People bitch. They issue a bulletin, and then they actually made an improvement.

So now they fixed it. But fear not. We can still **** and moan about wheel bearings and compensators, among a few other things.

Have them changed now.
IF you're planning on keeping this bike for a while, I'd suggest that you spend some extra $ and upgrade it with the S/E Hydraulic Adjuster Kit.

This time of the year some dealers offer some good deals on engine upgrades and considering your bikes mileage it may be worth checking into a Big Bore Kit that would basically give you a new "upper end" engine which should also include new OEM adjusters.

Just a thought.
