Where do all the old Harleys go??

Seems as though as soon as Harleys stop making them they they rapidly disappear, was a time if they were a black bike NT etc they were bought up and shipped off to Germany, not sure if that's still happening.

Don't know where in Europe, I'm in the UK saw an Evo the other day, first one in over a year, as for Pans and Shovels they're as rare as Rocking Horse s**t. I've got a Nightrain, again only seen one of those recently for sale in a Dealership.

Though the conspiratard in me wants to think that maybe the Moco buys up old bikes and destroys them to keep their sales up.

I can account for another one of the "million" H-D's that y'all are discussing.
My '98 Heritage Springer "95th Anniversary Edition" (FLSTS) carbed, EVO will be mine for as long as I'm above ground!
Bought her new. Has bout 9500 miles on her.
New tires year before last (not rode since) and a new battery waiting to be installed on her next ride.
Expand the years a bit and I also have an '03 RK (hard bags) T/C88-EFI with 5Spd in Ruby Rich Red totally loaded with 100th Anniversary "badges" with lots accessories and other chrome "goodies",
Bought new, new tires year before last.
Has less than 300 miles on her!
Old (model year) bikes can be rode and preserved for years and they're great for "sunny day" and "local rides", but I prefer later model bikes for touring mainly due to the availability of parts and dealerships that will service and repair them.

Tis a meager sampling of some of the stuff you see in in Japan...
Granted, not all of it is original old iron, but if they don't have it, they will do their best to mimic it.
A rare old Rikuo...
Don't ask me how that Victory (in the background) made its way over here...
