With out understanding the geometry of rake and trail, one cannot understand physics of riding a motorcycle.

OK let's make it even easier-get on your motorcycle, go find a curvy road, and the first right hand curve you come to push the right grip FORWARD not down and see how nicely you make the corner. You adjust your line as needed but increasing or decreasing the forward pressure on the grip. You may also tighten the line up by maintaining the same pressure on the bar and rolling on the throttle a bit. Try it. MSF 101 day 1. Been there.

Listen to what this guy says. He races motorcycles. He says he does not counter-steer through the turn. He counter-steers before the turn and gets his position right.

If you have to counter-steer through the turn you speed is to high for the turn. You did not slow down enough before the turn.

MSF did not teach us to counter-steer through the turn, they taught us to counter-steer before the turn. If you have to counter-steer through the turn, then you did not slow down enough before the turn.

The reason street riders do not achieve stable lean angles is because they do not slow down enough before the turn.

Stable lean angles are easier to obtain than keith believes.
