Riding Routines ?

Yeah, I think everybody has a few favorite local routes.
That's whole idea ain't it? Riding?
Twisties, open ditches so ya can see fer critters, nice views, pleasant food/beverage stops along the route.
I can take ya 10miles or 200 locally and you'll enjoy the ride.
You should come up here to Minn, we have lakes and water,, and right now some great fall colors!

Some very nice scenery in Southern California although the seasons are not as dramatic as with other parts of the country. To compensate, no snow to speak of so Winter is actually often a pretty good riding season.
Lots of rural type roads in South Orange County.
Farm country north of LA.
Deserts to the East.
Lots of beach scenery along Pacific Coast Highway.
Yes, Southern California is not a bad place to ride.

I usually do 200-300 mile days on Saturday or Sunday, often both. I have easy access to the Natchez Trace within 5 miles or so and can head South as far as Natchez which is a couple of hours or North as far as I want to ride. The trace is often my go to spot in July/Aug when temps are 95+ as it is usually a shaded ride for the most part. I also enjoy heading out on back roads in the MS Delta. This past weekend I did a 300 mile circle up highway 49 to Clarksdale MS, lunch at Ground Zero Blues Club then back down hwy 61 cutting through the Delta National Forrest.
The weekend before I took a 250 mile route that makes a circle going through Greenville, MS across the river into Lake Village Arkansas, Lunch at The Dock in Lake Providence LA then On down to Tallulah LA and back across the MS river through Vicksburg
The scenery here does not match up to many other places I have ridden with fall follage, Mountains etc.... but on the plus side I have easy access to many routes on back roads or state hwys with little traffic

I shoot for as many three day weekends as possible over the summer. I try to ride at least 2 out of three, and ride all three when the honey-do list allows it. This year I also took a trip to Colorado with a buddy.
A normal day ride is 300-500 miles. Anything under 300 is a light day. LOL.
I'll surpass 25,000 miles for the season on my next day ride.
